They work great Yeah I may end up with the 512.For the second time now I have noticed corrosion on the left (top view) of my EOTech 552 after leaving the batteries in it for 72 hours. It’s an older model from late 2003. Any ideas? This is rather disconcerting. The corrosion doesn’t seem terribly significant- usually some mild green “stuff” that comes off easy, but now the left battery contact has completely turned BLACK. Anybody else having these issues?

4/21/2012 10:53:56 PM EDT I went through this same debate and went with the Eotech. Absolutely love it! On the same rifle rifle too. I liked the sight picture of the Eotech better. I thought it looked better on the rifle. The red dot was smaller. AA batteries are cheap and readily available. Its been everything I was hoping it would be and better. 3/10/2012 6:05:50 PM EDT Depends – Is the barrel free floated? Can you hold steady enough? What is your definition of more accurate? Is the barrel capable of shooting sub MOA groups? If your answer is yes to most of those questions you’re probably set for the magnifier. AR-Ryan21

I shot a borrowed NM M1A Scope Mounts last weekend for a service rifle clinic/fun match. Before this, I had been shopping for a Garand, but after shooting a M1A Scope Mounts, I thought it would be pretty cool to own a M14 Scope Mounts.
